The Wrap!

Lexie HAS to be wrapped in order to sleep for any length of time. Without it she'll wake herself up in 20 minutes. Mia showed me an amazing way to do it and it does a great job, but sometimes she pulls a Houdini on us and can manage to get one hand out. It just makes me laugh!

Blessing Day

We had Alexa's blessing this last Sunday. It was amazing. Alex did a great job, I'm really proud of him. He's only ever heard a handful of blessings (he's only been a member for 8 years) but was able to listen to the spirit and give a GREAT blessing. The most amazing part was that she didn't cry at all!!! we were so worried she cry the whole time we went to the church an hour early so I could put her in the moby wrap so she'd sleep right up until the blessing....guess it worked. Thanks to my family who was able to make it and we missed all who couldn't!!

Life is Great

So I was laying in bed last night thinking about how different things have become since Alexa was first born. How she has changed as a baby. She's happy now (I'm sure cause she was uncomfortable and gassy at the beginning). Anyway I was remembering how I would pray every night for her to sleep better and not cry all the time, and how I felt Heavenly Father wasn't listening to me. Now that I look back, it was me who wasn't' listening. He was helping me through my friends. I had 2 friends come and take Alexa so I could rest, a few friends tell me about the "5 S's", and several others tell me about the chocolate and milk thing. The funny thing is as soon as I used all that advice things started getting better, Alexa started getting better. It's like the story of the man on a house who is trapped by a flood. He prays for God to save him, to get him off the house. 3 times someone in a boat came by and offered assistance and 3 times he said "no thanks, God will save me". Well he died and when he saw God he asked why he didn't save him and God said..."I sent you 3 boats". God was helping me in my time of need, through my friends, I'm glad I figured that out sooner than later!! Thanks to everyone who has been there for me!!!

My baby picture

Ok, many of you say Lexie looks like Alex, well I say your wrong. Look at this picture of me at 3 months, it looks very similar to Alexa.

Bath Time

Once she's in the tub she's ok, I wouldn't say she loves it, but she's not crying. But once you take her out she is MAD!!

Happy Mothers Day

Wow, I'm a mother. That is sooooo amazing and scary at the same time! I hope I can always show Alexa how much I love her, so she never doubts that. I hope I can guide her, teach her and understand her. I am so blessed to be counted amoung the many woman who sacrafice everything for their children as my mother did for me and my siblings. Happy Mothers Day mom and all the moms out there!!!

This is a picture of my mom right before they sent her home while I was in labor... of course the minute she got home she got a call that I was starting to push. She jumped back into the car and rushed back up to Paradise just in time. I love you mom!

Baby's first shower

Lexi LOVED her first shower. She wasn't too sure at the beginning, but it was relaxing for her.

Poor baby!

So this is what Alexa's face looked like (actually this picture is a good day) before I stopped drinking milk and eating chocolate. See all the red spots, kinda looks like a rash or baby acne.

Now this picture was taken today.....much better!!

New Era

So to the left of this page there is a link to the New Era. Please check it out. It's an article about Jennifer Beck in the Fremont ward. Our Young Women pulled together and helped her get her Personal Progress done. I'm soooo proud of her and really miss her and the ward. Its kinda cool having your picture in a magazine. I feel famous ;)
