Finally!!!

The past few months I keep telling myself to get our food storage up and ready and today I started!! With the help of Food Storage Made Easy I got our 72 hour kits together and it was really easy!!!

1st I got bags from the Dollar Store.

Added Velcro so things wouldn't fall out of our kits

Gathered the goods....

And into the bags they went!

Honestly I feel a little better, now on to the next steps....it's really broken down for you at food storage made easy......check it out!

Easter Fun!

There were so many eggs we just started throwing them on the ground.....each kid got TONS of candy!

Aarons Half time show...."Me and my Bunny"!

April Birthdays!

Here is a little video... The funniest part of the video is the end where she is in a hurry to get the eggs in her basket and she does a roll......Alex had been training with her for the past few days, I blame him! It was a great day all together!

Easter Eve

We went to Grandma and Grandpas for dinner and then over to Rick and Becky's to decerate eggs....we had a great time!!!

I thought using a wisk would help her hold onto them better, but she didn't care, she just threw them in the cups!!!

I looked away for 1 second (I was admiring Taylors awesome egg work) and lexie spilt the blue color. Luckily Becky put something down so her rug isn't now BLUE...anyway it was all over Lexie so she took a bath!

Yummy Banana Bread

I have had this recipe for FOREVER! I love how easy it is.....tons of calories......but yummy! It's perfect for when those banana's are brown and no one will eat them. I usually cut it in half and only make 1 loaf, but here is the full recipe!

2 1/2 C. Flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
3/4 C. Butter (soft)
1 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
2 eggs
6-7 Ripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla
1 C. Walnuts (Optional)

Preheat oven to 325. Mix butter, brown sugar, eggs, bananas, and vanilla until well blended. Mix in flour, soda and walnuts. Grease 2 bread loaf pans and split batter evenly between the 2 pans. Bake 60-80 minutes until knife comes out of center clean. Serve warm with butter....Yummy!!

Some hot chicks!!!

We've been talking about getting some chickens for a while now and today daddy brought some home!!! Lexie was very happy to have new friends and didn't want to leave them to eat dinner. Hopefully we'll have just 1 male in the bunch and the rest will lay eggs!!! Nothing like fresh eggs! Our biggest fear will be some other animals killing them for dinner. Birds, racoons and foxes love chickens as much as we do.....tastey!

PS...I did video and pictures since the video wont transfer to a book.

Kite flying!

Yesterday was so nice and windy we had to get outside!! What's better than taking out the kite for a spin. This was Lexie's first time trying it and she LOVED it! So cute!
