Potty Training update

We have made a break through, she is now telling me when she has to go!! Yeah!!! I still ask her every hour and we had one accident today, but over all I'm very proud of her.....Cant wait to be diaper free!!!

Potty Training

We started Potty training Lexie on Monday. Monday there were 4 accidents and 3 successes, Tuesday it was 3 accidents......will today bring only 2 accidents??? We'll keep you posted!

Christmas FHE

For FHE this week we had a lesson on the meaning of Christmas things (the tree, the star on the tree, the candy cane) and how they relate to our savior. Lexie loved putting all the items on a mini Christmas tree.....super cute! Then we made a Gingergread house. Alex Picked a package up at Trader Joes and it was super easy and fun. I had a major headache so I look like death, but Lexie couldn't get enough!
PS.....thank you Dr. Laufer for gettng rid of my headache....I feel like a new woman!

Accident Prone

Any time our little girl gets hurt it seems to be on the face! Yesterday in Sacrament I was sitting up with the choir and Lexie was walking in the VERY BACK ROW of the chapel and fell. She hit her face right on the corner of a bench. It went from her forehead to her chin. The rest of church everyone was asking if she was ok because the sound was so loud!!! Poor baby!!

Santa

My work has a Santa Christmas party for the kids every year. This is a picture of her last year, she would not sit on Santas lap!


But this year she was ready....very excited!!!

Big Girl Bed

Alexa has finally moved out of her crib and into a big girl bed. Last night was great, she went right to bed and slept until 830. It's the naps I'm most worried about, we'll see today when we try for the first time to nap in a big girl bed!

PS....we are binkie free!! There were 2 days she asked for it, but hasnt asked for it again since, yeah!!!!

NOT a success!

I wanted Lexie to have little ringlets so I bought those soft curlers that you sleep on. She loved having them put in her hair and walking around with them. She didn't even complain when she went to bed.....I was very excited!!!







Until I saw this!! I must have used too many and too small of curlers. Alex and I were laughing so hard.....Annie meets the jerry curl.....so funny!!




I'm glad we did a practice run before having to go anywhere!

Family Photos

We were going to just take pictures at home this year for our Christmas cards in front of the tree (lame) and when I told my frend this at church my friend said..."if you take our picture we'll take yous". Man I'm so glad she said that, we had a great time with friends and got a much better picture for our Christmas cards this year!

Outside

It's been pretty cold the last few days and so Lexie hasn't been outside much. Today wasn't so bad so she got to go out, about 15 minutes into the fun she wanted some hot cocoa.....she loves hot cocoa!!! What's better on a cold day?

Binkie

So Aexa has been using a binkie since day one. I have loved it, but Alex and I have been worried about the day we would break her of this habit. The plan was to have no binkies in the house as of her birthday so she would be binkie free before the new baby arrives. We've had only 1 binkie for about a month now and last night Lexie had it before bed and started hiding from Alex and I. When it was time for bed we asked her where her binkie and blankie were and she could only find her blankie.
We looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. She kept saying "my binkie is hiding?" over and over again. She was pretty ok with it while we read books and then we put her in he crib and he was still ok......I was thinking, this is too good to be true, is that all it takes??!?!? NOPE, for the next 2 hours she called to us, asking for her binkie, then it turned into she was hot, then hungry. Finally we went in there and gave her a snack and we talked about her binkie and how she was a big girl and she went to sleep. Night one down......eternity to go. She keeps saying we will have to go buy a new one, but at some point she'll just forget about it....right??!?!?
