It's the big PAR-TAY!

What fun we had at Lexie's 4th birthday party. I told her she could invite 4 friends and she invited her 4 besties! We had a great time! It was so low key I didn't even make a cake, just cupcakes. Here are a few of the pictures from the day! PS it's a mermaid theme in case you didn't catch it!

We got this cute shirt here (although it was a disaster by the end of the party!!)  Here she is waiting for her friends.  The party was at 2 and she asked every 20 minutes when it would be starting.

I made mermaid tails for all the girls.  I asked the first 2 guest if they wanted to wear them and they said no.....so did the 3rd guest.  (I was a little bumbed!)

And then the 4th guest arrived and she said awesome, I'll wear it and everyone put them on but 1 person.  I felt better!!!

After Lexie chose to have Spaghetti for dinner we had cake and sang to her. She loved it. She ate every last bite, yummy!

Snow

We had our first snow today, it left as quick as it came, but it was fun while it lasted. Lexie said "who bought me snow for my birthday.....it must have been Jesus!" Crack me up!!!

My little lady turned 4 today. I cannot believe I held her in my arms at 2:28am 4 years ago. Unreal!!!! Lexie is such a happy, smart, artistic girl. She is in ballet, preschool and LOVES going to the gym with mommy! Everyone she meets is her friend and she really worries about others and thier feelings. She big for her age so I often think of her as my gentle giant. She is amazing with Madilynn and loves being a big sister. She helps out so much and enjoys feeling needed. What an amazing spirit, I love you Alexa and can't wait to see your future!

Madilynn LOVES Lexie's Dora castle, well really she only loves these doors. She spends tons of time opening them and looking in, cracks me up!!! She looks so huge!

I love that Madilynn always has to be touching me. She does it in a way that makes you think she doesn't care, you know "I'm super busy with this toy right now....oh I'm touching you?? Didn't even notice." Love this girl!

Good times

We had the Nelson girls over for a great weekend! Alex brought snow home and they had alot of fun playing in it for hours. On Sunday we took them to Grandma's house and decided to walk to the school and let them play for a while. It was amazing weather and everyone had a good time!

Happy 9 months!

My little girl just turned 9 months, wow time has been flying by.  I can't believe how different my 2 girls are from each other.  They have come from the same parents, same home and yet at this early stage I can tell they are so different.  Madilynn is our leader!  Very independent, strong and stubborn.  She doesn't care for a blankie or a binkie and Lexie always had to have both.  She isn't much of a cuddler either, unlike her sister.  She is also so observant to her surroundings!  She can see a clear piece of plastic across the room and get over there and put it in her mouth before you know she's even on a mission.  She has found many things and choked on them all.  She sure is a mover now.  She's not crawling, but she rolls to everything and it hasn't slowed her down at all.  She can get to it no matter where it is.  Both of my girls have the "NO SLEEPING IN THE CAR SEAT" rule and  I don't understand this at all since I sleep like a baby if I'm not driving. 

She's a joy!  We love her and know her independent, strong attitude will help her through her life.  She is proud to be little and will show you it doesn't mean a thing to her success in life.  We're excited to see all her accomplishments along the way!!!!!!!!!!
