Our happy home!

I finally got around to taking some pictures of our house and thought I'd do a little before and after! We still have tons to do but it's amazing how much we've already done. Thanks to everyone who helped!!! Scott, Dad, and Alex spent countless HOURS working on everthing from taking down walls, putting others up and tons of electrical. Becky helped paint and clean and several of you babysat our princess so we could spend time working up here....THANK YOU!!!!! Any time you want to come visit our door is open!

"I'm all out of Love"!!!!!!!!

I'm all out of Love is just one of the many songs AIR SUPPLY sang at the Chico fair last night. I'm not ashamed to say Becky and I went and it was sooooo fun!! Yeah they are seriously old but they still rocked it like it was 1980!! I forgot my camera but Becky took some pictures, overall.....great night!!!

May Birthdays

We meet at my moms monthly for dinner and we always celebrate the birthdays in that month and May is Alex and Meliah....I made a brownie, toffee, pudding, whip creamy thing....it was yummy!

We've been told Alexa eats alot, and really.....what do we have to compare her eating to???.... so she's normal for us. There's not much she wont eat. She doesn't like pudding, bananas and....well that's really it so far. Today we gave her the cob with her corn and she LOVED it!!! It was fun to watch her eat the end!

I did it!

I got a sewing machine and I used it for my first project. I saw this on HDTV and thought it was a nice splash of color. Over my fridge I put curtains on the cupboard instead of the doors.



....and then added the same material to the opposite wall. I think it turned out ok!



PS....if anyone wants to teach me how to sew a pattern I'll teach you how to make your own blog page and header. ANYONE??!?!???!?

Excuse me....How much??!?!

So I have been wanting a CHI hair straightener forever!!! They've always just been soo expensive.............until now. I have seen them online for $149. or on sale at bed bath and beyond for $125 but now............COSTCO has them for $65...I thought it was a typo. It is the BEST straightener I have ever used, so worth the $149 but a STEAL for $65. Seriously if you straighten your hair more than twice a week go to COSTCO today before they are all gone....you'll love it!

Baby Steps!

So I don't know why there is no sound, I look like crap and the room is "lived" in.....but our baby took her first steps today. She was holding my hand to walk....stopped, looked at me and let go of my hand. She was ready. I couldn't be happier!!!

Elder Eller

Jon sent us some pictures and I wanted to share. He is almost done with his mission, about 4 more months. He has grown so much and we love him for is efforts in Brazil!!

Project

So when the girls in my family turned 16 my mom gave us "hope chests". That was a long time ago and the material is outdated.....and I might have placed a hot iron on mine.....there really isn't any proof of that so it might hae been something else that made that big hole....hee, hee! Anyway I covered it with new material to match the new bedroom....extra storage is always great to have!
