phone dump

We didn't go anywhere last week cause I didn't want either girl getting sick before Madilynn's surgery, so here are a few pictures from our week

Madilynn LOVES this little backpack!

Lexie got to take the team mascot for being MVP at their first game.  She loved it!!  Go Rhinos!

Tonsils and Adenoids

So This little cutie had her 3rd and final (for a while I hope) surgery on Monday.  She got her Tonsils and Adenoids out.  She's still not 100%, but they say it takes about 2 weeks to be back to normal.  She had it done on Monday so we went the night before and stayed at the "Family House".

Here she is in recovery,  right after the surgery

She wanted to eat soon after the surgery, she had mac and cheese and then shortly after this picture the meds wore off and she was pretty unhappy the remainder of our stay.  We were there over night.
Glad she's ok, we're thankful for the prayers and are happy to be home!

Sniff, Sniff

My eyes have filled with tears on several occasions today thinking that this is my last full day with this sweet girl before school starts tomorrow.  Alexa has been a true joy to our family.  She has been my sidekick, sounding board and audience for 5 years.  She is sensitive, caring, honest, joyful, trusting and so, so funny!  I am grateful she will be going into the very capable hands of Mrs. Wright.  This is the beginning of the rest of her life.  I am no longer there to protect her, teach her or just love on her.  I know she will be amazing and my tears are truly tears of pride and love (with a tiny bit of longing to home school......I MEAN TINY BIT!!!).  Good luck my little butterfly, spread those wings ~ I am excited to see your future!!!

Our Week

We had our last full week of Summer, and boy were we busy.  Here's a little bit of what we did.....

Lexie loves going to the gym with me, they have the best crafts at the daycare there.  She made this bird and when we got home she put a skirt on it.  She walked around all day with that thing.

We met up with our friends for dinner.  they are so great, Madilynn loved their dog Harry.

(PHOTOBOMB!!)

After the gym one day we had a picnic at the park.

Our garden is still going strong.  We've run out of lettuce, but have everything else still.  The cantaloupes and watermelons are taking over!!!

This girl is crazy for tomato's!

Lexie got her back to school haircut.  Thanks Auntie Becky!

Madilynn wanted one too, although no hair on her head was harmed in this picture.

Wellness check up!

Lexie's first soccer season started today!  She was AWESOME!  Scored 5 goals and looked good doing it!!
