Pillow Face Lift

We had 2 throw pillows on our couch for about 10 years now, they needed a make over bad! I found a cute tutorial online, and mine isn't as cute as hers, but it was fun to have a project to do. I was going to just do the flower cover and a striped matching cover, but I ended up using the stripe on the back of the tree cover. Don't judge, I don't really know how to sew!!!!

This is what they both looked like before.....

And after.....

Bike Ride

Alex loves to bike ride and he took Lexie last week and she really enjoyed herself. The stopped for a water break and took this cheesy pictures. Great Daddy/daughter time!

Oh Lawrence!!

A few weeks ago we came across the Lawrence Welk show and Lexie LOVED it (she really is an old soul). We decided to TIVO! it and I had to get a few pictures of her enjoying herself. She claps after ever number and begs her daddy to dance any time there is a dancing couple. It is really the cutest thing ever!

Couples dance.......
(look at her face, she loves it!)

Future Husband

We had our friends over the other night and I didn't get any pictures of adults, but I got some of the future couple. They were so cute together, at one point she was feeding him M&M's, but I didn't get that on film!!!

Yeah, I noticed!!

While I was at work Alex called and said "you might notice a small scratch on Lexie's forhead, she tripped while running down our dirt road"..........I ask you, does that look like a scratch??!??!

"Finger" painting

Lexie doesn't like to finger paint because she doesn't want her hands dirty so she uses brushes (although I love the finger paint paints, they're easier to clean up). We had a blast doing some beautiful art work.....starting bid $25,000. I think she's worth it!

Not for the sensitive!

*******Disclaimer********
Because I turn my blogs into books (a journal if you will) I have to put in this story. I will warn you it is about #2 (pooping).

Yesterday Lexie was taking her nightly bath and about 5 minutes in I saw bubbles....she was tooting. I asked her if she had to go poo-poo and she said no. 5 minutes later there were more bubbles so I pulled her out and sat her on the toilet. After a few more toots she went back into the tub. After a while I looked up from my book and saw her making "the face"...she was grunting so I picked her up and put her back on the toilet....this time she was really pushing hard. To make a long story short she had her first poop in the toilet.....it was so cute and she was so proud of herself....daddy even came in to clap for her. I know it is NOT the start of potty training, but her first time on the big throne is something we'll tease her about when she's a teenager!!!

Table for 4

I was in the other room and Lexie kept saying "Eat!......Eat!...." Since we just had lunch I was wondering what she was talking about. I looked around the corner and saw this. She put all her Elmo's at the table and apparently they were hungry. 1 Alexa + 3 Elmo's = AWESOME tea party!

Mr. Potato.....family?

Ever since Lexie got Mr Potato head for Christmas she loves to play with him! She just discovered his teeth and she loves to put them in her mouth and make anyone else who will play put them in their mouth too. It's cute the first 50 times. She makes us laugh!

Early Church

I never liked early church until I had a kid. 1:00 is her nap time and that's what time late church starts......no fun!! Today was our first Sunday of the year and it was great, 9a church ROCKS!!! When we got home we napped and then went to the park to feed the ducks. Everyone else had the same idea cause the ducks were NOT hungry. They sat in the middle of the pond on a rock just looking at us. Lexie still liked to see them and we had fun running around.

That's her impression of a duck....quack, quack, quack!

I wanted a picture of the two of them but Lexie didn't want Alex in the picture, rude!

New years eve

We invited the family over and we had a little get together. This is who was able to make it....
