Mini vacation

We went on a little vacation to get away from life and had a great time. Here are some pictures.........................

This is the view from our hotel room. It was nice but next time we're doing Embassy Suites where you have 2 rooms, it's easier with a baby who's bed time is 8p. Our bed was huge! It felt bigger than a king but I've never really been in a king to compare. At one point Alex was diagonal and still wasn't touching me.

We ate at Benihana's the 1st night we were there. YUMMY!!!! All we did really this whole trip was eat, eat, eat!

The whole reason we went is so Alex could check out the new California Academy of Science building, the remodeled.......it was a big let down. We did see the albino alligator...he just laid there sleeping. I thought it was pretty lame and Alex was too excited either. Oh well we can say we were there.

Halfmoon bay was fun. We always check the property and eat while we're there. Several great restaurants with fresh seafood of course!!

We went to the beach, super cold!!

We went to California Pizza Kitchen....YUMMY!

The last day we were suppose to come home we went to our old ward to see everyone and as we were leaving the gas light came on. It was just across the bay to our hotel and I've driven to fremont to san jose with the light on so i told alex just to get gas by our hotel. As we were pulling off our exit the car died.....we literally coasted into the parking lot. Alex took a taxi to get gas and came back. we tried and tried to start it and eventually the battery died. we had our taxi driver give us a jump and nothing worked. we had plans to visit our friends kimi and allen so I called them and told them we couldn't make it and that we would have to get a hotel again until tomorrow when we could get the car fixed. They wouldn't have it and came all the way to get us so we could stay at their house. They are great and we loved our time with their little family. Thank you guys so much!!!

What a day!!

Ok, so you know movies like "Meet the Fockers"...I've always hated them because I couldn't believe so many bad things could happen to one person......until today!!!! It started out as simple as could be. We went to Alexa's check up, she came home and slept for 1 1/2 hours, life was great. Then at 1p we went to target and had the oil on my car changed while we shopped (at the corner shop there). When we came back the owner of the shop said they had broken the cap to the oil filter and had to order a part that wouldn't be in til tomorrow. He told me he was sorry and that he would pay for a rental car since it was there fault (totally admire him taking the blame). 1/2 hour later the rental place picks me up and drives me to where my car is. While entering my info in their system she asked me for my valid DL. I'm like, what do you mean....she notified me that mine expired on my birthday, 7 days ago....opps!!! the rental guy drove me to the DMV where i waited another hour to get through the line. After that he drove me back to the rental place and I was on my way home. When I got home I realized my keys were on my keyring at the oil changing place....REALLY!!??!? Got my keys and headed out to the "Yes on 8" rally and drove up right when they finished. Literally heard the guy thanking everyone for coming. I found Alex and the baby and we headed to the rental car. I used the remote to open the doors and put her in the back seat to buckle her in and threw the keys and my bag up to the front seat like i always do with my car. I buckled her in and closed the door at the same time alex tried to open his door. and then I tried to open my door.....but it was LOCKED!!!!! my kid was locked inside the car with the keys on the front seat. I don't understand how the heck they locked. It had to be open at some point to put my kid in. icalled 911 and AAA at the same time fighting back the tears because at this point she started crying too......ughhh!!! luckily they made it in about 5 minutes, it felt like 60 minutes and everything was fine!!!! I made alex take me out to dinner cause i was spent!!!! anything and everything i touched today turned rotten, hopefully the curse is over at midnight!!

I'm 7 Months old

Tomorrow she will be 7 months old, can you believe it. At 7 months she is....

1. Not interested in her own toys, she wants what we have like remotes, keys, and cameras.

2. Eating, Eating, Eating! She nurses 3 times a day and has a veggie and fruit (still stage 1) 4 times a day.

3. She knows what the camera is. She sees it and smiles and wont stop looking at it.

4. She's almost sitting up by herself.

5. She is scooting herself ALL OVER! I'll put her on one side of the room, go do the dishes and she'll be on the other side. She's fast!

6. She's starting to see the littlest things on the floor and trying to pick them up. I don't even know how she sees them.

7. She is in bed by 8 and up by 8. I love the 8a days.....and hate the 6a days.

She's the cutest, happiest, funnest (most fun) baby we've ever had. ;) We just love this kid!

Watching Bella

Some mornings I'm lucky enough to have Bella over in the morning so Becky can study. We had popcorn this morning and I had just vacuumed the night before, what was I thinking. You can't really tell from the pictures, but there is a little pile at her feet....for the birds I guess. I love this kid!

You will be missed!

On Tues the 7th Alex's mom past away. It was something we were not preparred for and has really made us think about families and our oppurtunity to be together forever! I know she's in a better place but we will miss her and will rejoice at our reunion! Love your families, show them often you care, you never know when they'll leave us!!
