Lunch with the Zou's

Kimi and I met at girls camp (we were co-counslers)and have been super close ever since. When she got married a little over a year ago they moved to Utah so I haven't seen her since her wedding. Luckily she was here for the holidays and her and her family were able to meet me in Vacaville for lunch. Her son Jeremiah is 3 months old and the cutest thing ever. She and Allen are doing well and keeping super busy!

Christmas Eve

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone. It was great to spend it with family and friends!!! We really missed Jareds family and Stephens family.....I wonder if we'll ever be all together again! My family has a tradition of fondue once all our guest have left, this year it was almost ruined!! My mom normally buys the fondue (has for about 35 years)and this year she was really feeling sick. About 10 minutes before everyone is scheduled to arrive my mom, me and Scott were just sitting around talking about how much Apple cider we had for the night. I asked my mom if the cider was for all night long, or just for the fondue and she replied "Fondue??!? It's not new years eve! No one asked me to get fondue, I didn't buy any!" I totally thought she was kidding, but she wasn't. Scott and I ran to safeway and bought the last packages they had. I am sooooo glad they had some, I didn't want to be the one to tell dad we didn't have fondue!!! I don't think my mom will ever forget the fondue again!!!

We hope you all had a merry Christmas!!! May God bless you in everything!!!

Jon in Brazil

We got to talk to Jonathan yesterday and he sounds AWESOME!!! Very grown up already, I can't wait til he gets home!!! He said they don't really decorate for Christmas but he found this nativity scene and had to take a picture. He's living the rules and being blessed, they teach alot of people and he's doing well with the language. We miss him alot and can't wait to talk to him again on Mother's day!

Chico Christmas Lights

Last night the Nelson's, me and Scott went to tour the lights of Chico.....they were the same as last year, but Taylor and Isabella loved them. The saddest part was the last house, someone actually stole the baby Jesus. Someone is in TROUBLE!!

Creche festival in my house

I am addicted to Nativity scenes! It all started with my mom when we were kids, they were everywhere......and now they're in MY house EVERYWHERE. I have a total of 22 now and the number goes up every year. I just love how they make me feel when I look at them. Here are a few pictures of my favorite, or most unique sets. If you want to see them all then come on over!! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

I stole this picture from Holly's blog but I just love it!!! I hope we all remember the true meaning of Christmas and may God bless us all!!

The last camping for the Laufers for a long time

Our friends, the Waltons, invited us to go camping this last weekend. Man was it cold. We went to Potato patch, just 45 minutes up 32. We really had a great time and loved hanging out!!!! Enjoy the pictures!!

Here's little cashew in all her 3-D glory!! She's got her hand by her face (probably sucking her thumb)!! We had another ultrasound and the lady (who has been doing ultrasounds for 30 years) said that it is 90% a girl, but she can't gaurentee that til 17 weeks (which is only another 2 weeks). Anyway, we're excited and can't wait. We had about an hour visit and she was moving a lot!!!!! Kicking, sucking her thumb, almost doing jumping jacks. The technician said everything looked good, heart has 4 chambers, brain shows activity (through the moving of the hands) and it was the right size with no fluid in the wrong spot. Over all we were very happy witht he visit and know now why i always go to the bathroom (she kicks my bladder a lot)!! She is about 4 oz and is 7 inches long. I'm sure you with kids think this is all boring stuff, but being our first I can't help but be overwhelmed!!!

Jonathan's gone for 2 years

My little brother left last night to serve is mission in Brazil. I can't believe he is actually gone but I am so glad he is on this new journey. It's really strange to think that just 19 years ago my mom had him. To this day my parents insist they were prompted to add him to our family and that he wasn't a mistake.......I like either story! I know he will grow and touch many lives if he depends on the spirit for direction. It will be frustrating and rewarding all at once! We love you Jon!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a grand thing, to be loved! What a grander thing still, to love!

Camping

We Love camping!!! We went camping at the beginning of the year with our old ward in Fremont!! We love those people!!!!!!!!!!!

Lil' Cashew

Lil' Cashew is finally on the way. It's amazing how God works. Now is when he wanted us to have a family, and I'm fine with that. I'm just excited it is happening. We're 13 weeks and having less morning sickness which is fabulous. I can't wait til its all gone!!!

We went to 2 specialist, one at Stanford and one in Redding. In between the 2 places I stopped taking all medication for blood work and that's when it happened.....who'd of thunk. All natural!!

We are so excited and we'll keep you all posted often!! We are grateful to God for our many blessings!
