MD's are no help!!

So Saturday I was at the park and ran into Maria Adkin. We started talking about Alexa and her rash on her face and she said "As long as her tongue is not white..." and I stopped her and said her tongue is white and she said well it's probably a yeast infection doing that to her face and making her feel fussy and uncomfortable. So as soon as I got home I called the dr's office and left a message wanting to get an appointment for Monday, which we did. So today we went up there and I told him her symptoms, and also told him she cries all the time and is having a reflux problem. He basically told me she was just being a baby and she is fine. No colic, yeast or reflux!!!! To top it all off my car wouldn't start and I had to call Alex to come up to Paradise to help us......of course the minute he tries to start the car it works. Between that and Alexa crying the entire way up to Paradise, I LOST it!!! Crying is a good thing. I cried, cried, cried.....then slept! As I was getting up from my nap I looked in on Alexa and my heart filled with joy, just having her in my life is sooo worth all the problems and pain she puts me through!

ps....she is now 11 lbs....oink, oink! ;)

Kerri--Emma was HORRIBLE from about 2 weeks to about 9 weeks. No colic, nothing wrong. BUT my pediatrician recommended, "The Happiest Baby on the Block". There are 5 S's to keeping a fussy baby from fussing and it worked a lot of the time (not all the time) on Emma. Check out their website and see if you can get a book if you think it will work for you. I personally swear by it. I know how miserable those first couple of months can be, but it WILL get better. Isn't it great that they're just so sweet and wonderful? I think that was about the only thing that kept me from throwing Emma out the window! LOL. Good luck!

Hmm...Taden's tongue was white for quite a while (not much anymore)and he is now getting even worse skin issues - but he is only a bit more fussy. I have "The Happiest Baby on the Block" if you want to borrow it...good things to know/do, but you may also already be doing them. Half the battle is just trying to understand what the real "issue" is. I think you are WAY ahead of where I was at that stage with Kailey! Just enjoy the fact that she can't talk back yet! haha :)
