6 quirks about me
So Leah tagged me, so here are six quirks about me that I really think are completely normal....
1. I love pork and beans in my tacos.
2. I CANNOT fall asleep until I put lotion on my hands....NO exception!
3. I sleep with 1 earplug in, it blocks Alex's snoring, but I feel like I can still hear baby in the middle of the night. (I'd probably still hear her with them both in but I'd just worry all night)
4. I took a bath EVERYDAY while I was pregnant, but never take them when I'm not.
5. I never buy retail, it has to be on clearance, or better yet 2nd hand.
6. I love the smell of skunks.....really love it!!
If you're reading this, you've been tagged, especially Holly E., Becky N., Michelle E., Corina E., Senessa T. and Natalie M. (although I'd love to read about everyones quirks)!!

6 Months Old
Wow time flies. I feel more and more blessed to have her in my life. I can't imagine life without her! Things she is doing....
*Sleeps from 7p to 7a every night
*Only takes 20-45 minute naps (I hate this part....She takes 5-6 little catnaps daily)
*She rolls all over!!
*LOVES to giggle
*Is eating rice cereal, oatmeal, summer squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, greenbeans, bananas, peaches, nectarines, and applesauce.
*she gets on her knees (only a little bit)
*she can sit up for a few seconds alone.
*she LOVES taking a bath
*she notices eyewear and tries to grab them.
*she growls like a dinosaur (alexasaurus rex) when she is concentrating on something.
She is my everything!! We love her more than anything!
Baby's 1st camping trip
So our ward had an overnight campout so we decided to go. We got 2 sites for us, the Tiffany's, the Bassets and the Millers. It was a super great time and we LOVE hanging out with these families. I only wish I would have gotten more pictures. Alex is the one to thank for the pictures we did get, without him we would have had like one shot.
Slowly, one by one everyone left our happy little campsite. It started with the Tiffany's, then the Bassetts went home, and then in the middle of the night the Millers left. I guess Alex's snoring was too much. We woke to only find Kiera.
At the yummy ward breadfast.
this picture just makes me laugh!
ok, this kid loves tags. She's playing in the pack and play with all her other toys, and all she wants is the tag under the pad.....why do we even buy toys?
My favorite part, finishing off the reduced fat oreos!!
Somebody was tired from all the camping fun!!
After everyone packed up and left, we felt like it was still early in the day and we didn't get a chance to play any games....so Kiera stayed with us and we played Wizard, it was fun!
Alex's pile of nutshells....it got much bigger!
Thats the bush that houses BIG FOOT! The whole time we were playing we kept hearing things, and not little animal things either. Somethings living in ther!
Baby having lunch with daddy!
Here we are playing cards, we love Wizard!
We're driving home with the windows down, she loves it!!

Company
We were lucky enough to have Holly and her baby come visit last week. He was a little cranky and was crying and I couldn't resist taking pictures of the two of them. Our baby was so concerned and kept trying to reach out to him (in my mind thats what she was thinking. no one really knows!)

Cuddling
I always said I was going to do "Baby Wise" before I got pregnant. I so couldn't do it, I can't let my baby cry, I'm a huge whimp. There is something about when she rubs her eyes, yawns and puts her head on my shoulder that I LOVE. She never just sits there and lets me cuddle with her, and as her mother I really enjoy it when she's ready for bed. She's usually asleep before I can start rocking in the chair but I usually just hold her for a few minutes. She's getting so big, so fast I don't want to give it up!!
My baby got sick
Well it finally happened, she got sick. Last week on Thursday she would cough this strange cough I hadn't heard before, then when we put her to sleep she woke herself 5 or 6 times coughing. She had a stuffy nose and it was running down her throat making her cough. We took her in to the office and got her adjusted and tested and she had some allergies. We got all the supplements to help and she did SOOOO much better the rest of the week..........cut to this week on Thursday. She woke up with a flemmy cough and a green gooyey nose. Back to the office we went for more care. She's doing well tonight, just a little cough every once in a while. I'll take her to the dr. on monday if it hasn't gone away by then. I just wish I didn't have to stick that thing up her nose to get the snot.....she hates it. If only she could blow her nose!! ;)

Timeout for Women!!!
AHHHH, what a wonderful weekend!! My mom, sister, daughter and myself went to time out for women (we missed you Michelle) and it was great, we even got free bags (i get excited about free). There is just something about being in a large room with all women of your faith. I'm a musical person and often feel the spirit much more quickly when I hear a beautiful song, and this weekend was the same. Kenneth Cope sang several songs and he has an awesome voice. I just wish I could of sung out loud with him. I had him sign 2 of my songbooks that he wrote and took a few pictures. Love his work! Other presenters were Mary Ellen Edmunds, sharon Larsen, Camille Fronk Olson, Carolyn Rasmus and Jason Wright. I really liked Jason Wright, and Mary Ellen Edmunds.I got to see my great friends Jonna and Terri from Fremont, man I miss that area! Overall it was a super time, I love the way I feel after a spiritual weekend, I can't wait for next year. Anyway baby was GREAT!! She was so easy and fun to be with. I love her so much. After the conference we went to Leatherbee's and had icecream!!! Man it was good! Since I've started weight watchers I haven't had such a huge dessert. Mom and I split ours and it was a good thing cause I would have eaten the whole thing by myself.
I highly recommend you go to a "Timeout for Women" with those you love if possible...it's really great!!
